The zombie apocalypse has happened and all power has been shut down. You just locked yourself in a room to escape your spouse-turned-zombie. You want to remember the good times. You look around the room but the walls are bare. The table top holds a framed image, but you realize you never printed anything to put in it. The couple in the frame is a stock photo. You open your phone and smile in relief as you find the last image of happy times you took and suddenly it happens – the last bit of juice is gone and your camera goes black. And you are alone.

Seriously, hard drives get corrupted, losing data. Phones with galleries full of precious images and moments are lost. I am just as guilty of not printing images and usually it’s because I feel I don’t have the time to take care of it.

Recently, in the midst of a very busy Fall wedding and portrait season, a big box arrived on my doorstep, courtesy of Canvas Pop. The experience of working with Canvas Pop was evident right away, but I needed to see the results before I could recommend them. The print I received was stunning. From my digital file they created a gorgeous 16×20 framed print (under a mat and glass) and delivered it with free shipping.

No more excuses about time!

Canvas Pop supplies canvas or framed prints and will handle the entire process for you. You’ll receive free digital proofs, your own personal designer and printing from any resolution, format and size AND even printing from Facebook or Instagram. The prints themselves are all done green- products to last, shipping boxes from recycled cardboard and energy star rating printers.

My print arrived ready to hang out of the box, I was even given the hardware for my wall.

Get your images away from the screen and surround yourself with moments that will keep you smiling.

OFFER!:

Want to try Canvas Pop yourself to see how easy and beautiful they are?? ONE follower/fan will receive a FREE print of their own! You will need to stay tuned to our social media in the days to come for details. So click below and “like” and stay tuned!

Dana and Kevin! I couldn’t stop telling them how cute they were together. We had a very enjoyable time in the DUMBO area of Brooklyn. It was one of those days that the light seemed to highlight everything in a very graphic and illustrative way which made it fun to incorporate the patterns and colors of their outfits. From what I hear, the praise belongs to Kevin for their final wardrobe choices!

I can’t believe I have to wait until 2016 to photograph the wedding!…………

I love photographing City Hall weddings. The whole process is fascinating to me. I’m typically meeting the couple for the first time that day. As I approach the building I’m seeing many couples either on their way in to get married, or on their way out after their vows have been exchanged. Either way, the energy is contagious.

Since there is often a bit of waiting around, it gives me an opportunity to fade into the background and photographically observe the couple and absorb the details of who they are and try to capture those moments that I feel represent them and their day best.

One such wedding recently was for Adrian and Alyssa. I saw the pride in Adrian that Alyssa was to become his wife. I saw the adoration that Alyssa had for Adrian and the smiles that were meant just for him. I saw the tenderness and love of the families in the gifts that were given to the couple, a scarf to match Alyssa’s eyes, a bouquet of flowers the bride’s father made for her. The expressions and the language of the eyes among all of them simply reflected joy and togetherness for everyone involved.

It was an honor to be included among such a celebration. Thank you Adrian, Alyssa and to your families for sharing your hearts in front of my camera.

Today marks the 70th Anniversary of the end of WWII (August 14, 1945) and the infamous kiss captured by Alfred Eisenstaedt.

Against the backdrop of a sculpture by Seward Johnson “Unconditional Surrender” depicting that famous kiss, couples participated in a mass kiss-in this morning.

Enjoy the photos!
