Yeah, procrastination runs deep..!
After all this time, I have finally gotten around to gathering together the images that have won awards through the years. I have a new gallery on the blog showing these images. It was a great way to end one year and begin another. Through the process I was able to see what my strengths were, what I need to continue doing and things I should work on in the upcoming weddings.
I also felt so much gratitude for the couples that have let me into their lives, and for their trust they put in me. I see the many emotions that were expressed before my camera from elation to tears and I feel so honored to have inspired the kind of trust that would enable them to be so open before my camera. I see the fun and wacky poses, the daring and the loving and I feel happy about the collaborative moments we had together.
I keep thinking of that one word .. “trust.” It is so important to me, without trust, these photographs would never exist.
To my past and present couples, I say “thank you” for trusting me. Thank you for letting me into your lives and thank you for being who you are are and allowing me to bear witness.
